Learn mixing from a
real mixer!
|
Technical-
Mixing in the box with Pro-Tools HD, featuring plug-ins from Waves, Digidesign, McDSP and more...
"How do they do it?"- from: "what is a compressor anyway" to sound replacer and
psycho-acoustics.
When and how to stop and fix
things, when loud is bad and when loud is good, studies in re-amping, sound replacer, etc.
Philosophical-
“Understanding where a song is coming from on a case by case basis,
learning to mix with the music’s best interest in mind”. How to understand
what “vibe” works for a particular project and how to work towards that goal
without becoming sidetracked or losing focus… How to communicate with
an artist and producer so everyone remains on the same page. Discussions of
the politics that can be involved both creatively and on a business level.
